Welcome Robert Greenleaf
Robert Greenleaf was formerly a professional development specialist at the Education Alliance at Brown University. Having taught in all grades K-12, he has 20 years of experience in public education ranging from superintendent of schools to assistant superintendent of schools, elementary school principal, teaching principal, teacher, and special education assistant. He served as adjunct professor at Thomas College in Maine. Dr. Greenleaf holds a doctorate in education from Vanderbilt University, a masters degree in educational administration from Southern Maine and a bachelor's degree from Nasson College in psychology.
As president of Greenleaf Learning, Dr. Greenleaf specializes in educational strategies for understanding behaviors, building esteem and achievement, and brain-based learning. His books include Brain-Based Teaching: Making Connections for Long Term Memory and Recall; Memory, Recall, the Brain and Learning; Engaging Todays Students: What All Educators Need to Know and Be Able to Do (both college and grades 5-12 editions); A Master Toolkit for Students; Coaching Reluctant Learners; and Creating and Changing Mindsets: Movies of the Mind. He has published numerous articles on the following topics: Bilingual Brain, Its Never Too Late to Learn, Language and Reading and the Brain, The Adolescent Brain, Motion and Emotion and the Brain, The Alienation of Americas Youth
